Have you ever wondered how the memory of a city like Alexandria was formed?
And where are the relics of its multiple history still present in its streets, cafes and institutions? Raqouda Foundation for Art and Heritage, in collaboration with the Greek organization M55, invites you to participate in an interactive workshop exploring the Greek existence in Alexandria during the modern and contemporary times, through field research, documentation, and collaborative mapping.
During this workshop we will try to read the city in a different way, researching the places that were part of the daily life of the Greek community in Alexandria, and how these places have changed over time. We will also learn about the mutual relationship between the city and the Greek community, and how each influenced the other, so that this experience becomes a part of Alexandria's shared memory.

At the end of the workshop, the results of the work will be displayed in a concluding exhibition featuring maps, documentation and short films prepared by the participants.
